MAIZE MILLING
Cobber International Ltd specializes in the production of quality nutritious grain products like maize flour, millet flour and soya flour. Our grain products are produced through value addition of grains sourced entirely from the local communities of our areas of operation of Mukono, Kayunga, and Busoga region.
All our grains are graded and purchase according to moisture content, cleanness. and grain size. They are further cleaned using pre-cleaner machines and then packed for storage until they are to be processed. We also purchase other legumes that do not require processing, but need to be cleaned before sell to the final consumer, like beans and peas. They are graded into types, cleaned using a pre-cleaner and the sent to markets.
The by-products from the maize grain is flour and bran. The bran is made into livestock feeds and its quality is improved by adding supplements in measured quantities. These supplements provide critical boosts to overall animal health. The mixing is done using a hammer mill or mixer depending on the texture quality required.
We have partnered with small holder farmers and created a ready market for their crop produce, thus giving them financial and food security. We have created forum for knowledge transfer to the farmers through which useful and up to date best farming practices that result into higher yields are taught. This has created a reliable supply chain for our raw materials Thus, our products are fairly priced, but of high nutritious quality.

To enhance the lives of the local communities by adding value to raw materials entirely sourced from them to produce high quality nutritious grain products. To purchase farmers produce, offer storage facilities, and transportation in the remote areas of Kayunga, Mukono, Buikwe districts, and Busoga region in order to reduce the production and storage and other surcharge costs of harvested produce in these outlying areas.
